Spragwa wrote:I wasn't there for JR's spot but I will wager that I've heard it all. Most people there know JR. If he's doing standup, then expect to get JR. If you don't like JRs ribald humor, then don't watch...
Yes, I know JR and really like him as a person. But, no one present, including the children who came to see a neat climbing movie, knew he going on as part of the show. We didn't have a chance to exercise your "if you don't like it, then don't watch" action. If the kids' parents had known the subject of his act beforehand, don't you think that many may have chosen to keep their children away from that part of the "show?"
Spragwa wrote:I'm really bummed that I missed it. I think the guy's hysterical. He pushes all bounds of social conscience but that's what makes him hysterical.
Sorry. Here I just fail to agree on what makes jokes about babies in blenders and rape of children "hysterical." (Assuming you mean hysterical in the funny ha ha sense.) But, hey, I'm just an old guy near to exiting stage left. It's your world now, Spragwa. Do with it as you see fit.

Someday, you might find yourself sitting with your grandaughter listening to a comedian joke about "the sound a twelve-year old's pelvis makes when it breaks." I wonder if your perspective on what is hysterical may change.

Disclaimers: I really like JR and Spragwa. Nothing here is intended as a personal attack. I only respectfully disagree with what they feel is appropriate to publicly perform without a pre-announced "X" rating.

Now, I better dig out that old flame suit...

Con: your little brother mark taking things out of hand, wether it was water guns or rock throwing. I was getting out of the shower, nice in clean to be greeted by a flying pop can full of 7-up on the last day i was down their and i was pretty cranky and i abuot snapped, so i just threw his water guns on the roof.

I worked in the food industry for a long time so I am pretty understanding when it comes to busy times but i also have high expectations. The thread asked for pros and cons, that was simply what i was giving. i thought that my wait was a little longer than should be expected, even on a busy night and thought that the opinion should be laid out so that the issue behind may be solved in the future, so stfu.

I think there should be a "special parking spot" for Westies only.

Also...Phil was waiting for his pizza long after people who got there AFTER him had gotten theirs. He was being super patient & totally nice about it.

CON: Rick said it well.

PRO: Good food, good people, Most gracious host. Really loved the clips of Miguel in the film. Congratulations on 20 years of serving a bunch of climbers. We hope you are around for another 20, in some capacity anyway.

Right on, there should be a reserved space for parking where people sleep in their cars/vans.
