Ow, the painful awakening and cleaning the sleep out of one's eyes. Welcome to the real world of dealing with people. Mind your step and wear highwaters to keep your pants clean from all of the BS everywhere.

In response to the whole hobby/sport crap. I'll never understand it. People call competitive chess and poker sports as well. I agree with Yastastic, what really matters is that you enjoy it. If she doesn't get it, then she just doesn't get it.

Wait a minute, I don't know if I get it. Oh well, hell. I'll just go climb anyway.
I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Why do you care what she calls it, Young'n? Obviously she can't do it!
Don't lower yourself to a word match with a non-climber!

What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.

young'n

I know for the longest time I needed to justify to my parents why I climbed, spent all that money on trips, and wouldn't settle down in a "real" job...somewhere in the equation, it no longer mattered what I called it, or what anyone else called it. It is just something we "do"...passion? maybe,....but others on the outside can just as easily see it as an escape for us.
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.
