Caribe has seen his share of down and out atheists. Furthermore casting God or Gods as the straw that one clutches at while falling to one's doom is unfair to many Christians, Hindus, Muslims, Jews, Jainists, Pagans, Sikhs, Zoroastrians, Wiccans and etc. If I missed your religion, I apologize. I for one have been absolutely at the end of my tether on a few occasions. Zeus never crossed my mind at these moments. Worship simply makes no sense at all. Sacrifice (human, animal or food offerings) are just plain silly. The need to be redeemed thus the need for Jesus to die and the concept of grace . . . get over yourself. We are just not that important.

(wow...sound more like a stuffy christian) The best definition I've ever heard is that God really wanted to give us a choice to love him. And for that to happen he had to allow us to experience him AND the opposite of him. And he has to give the opposite of him a fair fight...unfortunately evil doesn't play nice.
If God made this world devoid of bad stuff, or if he made it that way for people who believed in him, who wouldn't "love" him. But it wouldn't be "true" love. We'd be robots and he doesn't want us to be robots...neither do we. Right now we're in between...and get (have) to experience good and evil and the effects of them.
Christians hate suffering too. Especially when it seems so unfair. God grieves with us then and wants to comfort us, help us, and eventually wipe every tear from our eyes and take us away from the pain. We just have to want that.
Ummm....I honestly can't tell if you are being sarcastic. It sounds either very sarcastic or textbook televangelist babbling.

I am doing much better and getting stronger daily. God apparently wants me to quit playing soccer--to which I flip the bird, but I stay off the pitch; duking it out with that bastard just isn't worth it anymore.
Climbingrocks...wasn't intended to be sarcastic. Sorry it came off that way. Just how I see things. Sorry to sound televangelisty.
Pig...never thought of seeing things the opposite of that. I'll have to give that some thought. Thanks for sharing.
Oh and the flowchart...freaking hilarious. Surprised it was so gracious to Christians though. Thought we'd end up being "naturally annoying" at least.
Gotta run now...I need to find a terrible looking suit, some late night air time in a poorly lit studio with gold leafed everything, before picking up my overly made up wife at the beauty parlor...oh and I need to practice telling people that God hates them for tonight's show.
