Mark 10:13-17 (New International Version)
The Little Children and Jesus
13 People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” 16 And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.
These people need to look at the sin in their own hearts (which in reality is a lack of love for those suffering) before they worry about the sin of a nation.
They should be there mourning with the others, not picketing. They in no way are representing love for another person. Which is what Christ was all about.
2 Timothy 2:3 (New International Version)
Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
They should take a lesson from the Bible, which I hope they are reading and consulting.
Romans 14:10-13 (New International Version)
10 You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister[a]? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. 11 It is written:
“‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will acknowledge God.’”
12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God. 13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.
This goes a bit too far, no matter what their conviction is about for this case, they should put it aside and stand in Love and not contempt.

It must be so awesome to believe in god. But didn't you start feeling like you were faking it a little after age 12 or so? Just curious...
