OK, so I have the cam (and draw and biner). I don't want to be a jerk or hide from the issue. But I don't fancy returning it either.

I have a story too - itâ€™s my birthday and I am climbing with my wife. She is fussing all day (its too hot, there are bugs, etc). And I just got done with her at the practice wall (which sucked), so then we are at bruise brothers wall where the booty in question is discovered. This booty made totally made my day, plus I have grown fond of it. I've placed it several times including on Strick 9 (outstanding climb). I consider it my own at this point.

I admire your ability to return booty, but I donâ€™t see these circumstances warranting it. I think your friend would be well served by a $60 lesson in how to clean gear. Plus I consider myself to now be karma neutral having donated 2 cams (cheap ones luckily) to the booty gods.
