I've been to Mallorca and it was amazing. We went at the end of September/begininning of Oct. That seemed to be perfect timing. It was the beginning of the "off" season, so things were a bit cheaper and less crowded. It was still pretty warm and the ocean was nice. The soloing is great, bu...

There are a few copies being passed around Rifle (thanks Dave). . . Everytime I flip through the old guide book I feel homesick, everytime I flip through the new one I feel it's no longer home. There are SO many new routes and faces. But it's always good to see your old friends, both people and rout...

I am out in Rifle and will therefore not be able to make it to the comp. I just wanted everyone to know that I talked to J the other day on the phone (Kenny helped with understanding). Of all the questions he could have asked, he wanted to know what the hardest thing I've done out here is! I nearly ...

Your best bet is probably to find someone who will be there the same time as you and buddy up with them. The crags are somewhat, to very, far from Miguels, walking in not really an option. When are you going to be there? What crags are you looking to go to? Also keep in mind that there are a lot of ...

As to the issue of leaving fixed gear. Have you ever looked at the Madness Cave? Would you like to clean one of those routes? I say no thank you. I have grown to greatly appreciate fixed gear. As a matter of fact, most of my gear has become fixed gear at one place or another. The issue is, fixed gea...
