shuttle from camping to crag

Post by climbike »

hi,
i'm new to RRG and i plan to go climbing there on spring break and i was wondering if there is a shuttle from miguel's camping to any crag or if taxi is a good option. May be rent a bike or bring rollerblades? ( just walk seems quite long...)
thank you for the information
i'll arrive from lexington, what is the best and cheapest way to get to miguel?

dont trust local. youll get to the crag late or be taken to the wrong one and he'll probably forget to pick you up.

If you go to Miguel's and you're sociable then you can meet someone there who will give you a ride/partner up with you.

Your best bet is probably to find someone who will be there the same time as you and buddy up with them. The crags are somewhat, to very, far from Miguels, walking in not really an option. When are you going to be there? What crags are you looking to go to?

Also keep in mind that there are a lot of locals/road trippers that call Miguel's home. If your nice and willing to go along with their schedule they will likely take you along.

In case you are worried, local is a solid human being. If he says he'll pick you up or drop you off you can count that he'll be there.

But, buddying up with others works as well.

Wasn't there a kid last season who rode his bike all the way from Indiana and then all around the Gorge?
