so backflips from the top are legal then since you jump facing towards the rock? this all assumes of course you stick the landing.

Weather.com sucks... Try a real weather site. Thanks, I looked at three, .com, .gov, and wunderground. This was also Thursday, and they were all saying something like 60-70% thunder storms, not scattered. There was no rain information for the trail day on the sites, and well, I'd like to plan ahead...

ya, ok joe, you are SUCH a badass, i fawn all over you.... ooooooooo.

i've never had to lead that section, just did the top, but every other climber/partner i've seen on that thing places the #5 for the exit chimney/start lieback crux move for a nice TR high piece, your experience may vary.
