Re: Tuesday, June 12th.

Victor, you beautiful bastard! What in the world are you doing trolling rrc.com? Isn't there enough climbing in the Front Range for you? Let me know if you ever make it back to this side of the Mississippi. The NRG has been beautiful this year. Haven't been to the Red since November, but I'm always ...

Tuesday, June 12th.

I'm going to be driving from NC to IA next week, and I'd like to stop at the Red for a day or two as it's on the way. The partner I thought could meet up can't, so I've been left with no other choice: trawling the bottom of the barrel here at RRC.com. If anyone is planning on being out that day and ...

So I'm coming to the Red for a couple weeks in April. I've climbed several hard 11's there in the past (Dave the Dude, All Things Considered, Ro, Stay the Hand [was 12a at the time!]). I'd like to do some 12a's and b's that are considered standards for the grade, i.e., that won't get downgraded any ...

Thanks for all the responses! I was there last spring, and worked out All Things Considered and Dave the Dude-- they made me fall in love with less-than-vertical, something I never though possible-- so I'm definitely looking for some new slab next time I'm get out there. Hopefully I'll be in shape t...

Super Slab

I realize that if I have to ask, I probably shouldn't be on it, but. . . On the start of super slab, do you actually layback the first moves, or do you leap for the horn-ish feature (using the pile of rocks we found at the base). The layback seemed impossible, but then again, the route was a couple ...

Okay- it looks as though we'll be arriving tuesday afternoon instead of monday night- the forcast says rain- are there any particular crags that are renowned for staying dry (or at least for drying quickly)?

mountain biking at the red-

I'm coming down for a week+ next week, and am wondering whether I should bring my bike for off/rain days. Are there any decent trail systems in the area?

Iowa does RRG!

A couple friends and I are driving down monday the 19th and will be climbing through the weekend. None of us have been to the red before. If anyone wants to climb with some Iowans or needs people to climb with (or has recommendations for vertical .12 crimp-fests) we'd sure appreciate it. With beer. ...
