It's a very meditative/zen experience for me. When I'm climbing, everything else goes quiet and I am completely present in the moment. That feeling of pristine clarity is about as good as it gets.. Oh, and I like to be outdoors and generally away from the mass population....

I find it useful to have a mix of all the different brands. They each seem to have their own unique charachteristic. BD microcams seem to fit a slightly different range than the Metolius and Aliens which makes a huge difference in those small crack placements. The Aliens are great for pin scars due ...

The climbing there is quite unique and fun. It's been since the early 90's since I was there, but It was quite an experience. You end up rapping into the climbs so it can be a bit interesting finding the routes at first. We camped at the municipal campground on the lake shore in the Village of Lions...

Does anybody have any insight on climbing places or routes-to-do (trad or sport) around the Polson/Kalispel/Whitefish area or in Glacier National park. Thanks in advance for the beta....

Thanks. Guess I was always too busy looking up at the climbing to look down and see any pottery on the ground. Too bad they had to close the area. They were good fun climbs. There's plenty of other great climbing around anyways....

Why did they close Jac Mac?

Just saw on the online guide while I was reminescing through some old pics from the early 90's that Jac Mac was closed for some sort of study?

What was that about, and do they plan on opening it again?
