@Drifter:

May should be perfect! It´s my favorite time of the year. Not so crowded and not too warm. The forests are green and most trees are blooming.

But be careful, some north facing cliffs might still be wet.

check on the weather first. Early October can be good and can be crap. It depends a lot on the year. Not all climbs are short and bouldery. There are some 5.12s which are 120 ft and longer. With 800 cliffs and 8000+ routes there is plenty to pick from. Ceuse would be my favorite area in France if it...

I´ve used several 9,5 mm Infinity for the last 4 years. They are great ropes. I just bought another one.

But I wouldn´t recommend the Infinity for working on routes in the Red. It will not last for very long.

For redpointing and on sights its great.

not the obvious choice for climbing destinations in Germany. Any place near Frankenjura for me please. 800 cliffs, 8000+ routes, with many more every year.

I have a D100 and use the 12 - 24 4.0 from Nikon and love it. It´s fast, quiet and got really good picture quality. You can get it cheaper in SE Asia. I bought mine in Katmandu for 800 $
