No problem, Possum

Hey, just bolt it for yourself and your friends. Your father-in-law probably doesn't want people snooping around his land. Keep the crag secret - that's what I do. Less tromping, no crowds, nobody to critique your routes.

To answer your question, 3 1/2" x 1/2" Powers bolts are pretty much standard now. You can usually get them at QuickSet or any any good fastener shop. They should have a hex head at the business end (no stud sticking out), and a blue plastic plug, and a little blue piece of tape on the othe...

Yeah, I bolted a project at Muir. The bottom looked easy, but it ain't, I can't touch it, and it's open. Here is the description from a previous post: Bolts were installed about 2 years ago at a nameless wall in Muir Valley. Take off the red ribbon and send it. 1a) Send an e-mail to Muir Valley land...

Excellent work, Horatio! Man that was quick. You are my hero. Bet that roof was fun. Now bolt a line just to the left: same start, then go left before the pristine hueco. Can't believe it was only 5.12....man I suck.

I guess that was a lame sales job. Yeah, what Andrew said. It is a spray-worthy wall - this is probably the easiest line on it, with lots of futuristic routes next door. Please PM Rick Weber to work on this route. I think the route is fully equipted, and ready to go, but please talk to him (landowne...

Open Project

Bolts were installed about 2 years ago at a wall in Muir Valley. I am too weak to climb it. Check it out, take off the red ribbon and send it somebody. 1) hike to the great wall in Muir Valley 2) hang a left at the base of the great wall and hike for 5 minutes, following the trail along the cliff. 3...

Here's a reponse to Chriss: From my armchair, I read the first hand account of the climb. The top 3 pieces all blew out. My conclusion is the pieces sucked. I don't want to hurt the leader's feelings or anything, I am concerned with his long-term health. It's one thing to climb past gear that you kn...

Yeah, the tcu pulled because it was a crappy placement. Then the next two pieces pulled because they sucked too. Sometimes the lower pieces, (especially nuts) can shift and yank out when the higher shitty piece gets weighted due to Newton's law of universal gravitation. Dude, you are lucky you didn'...

They are definitely planning on leaving permanent troops over there. We will keep permanent squads over there to fight terrorist threats.... unless Kucinich gets elected, he's pretty much the only hope of getting everyone out.
