Germany bolting

So, we live here in Germany, and the bolts I have to say are really secure, but it's all limestone where we live (the Frankenjura). They only use one single bolt or pigtail at the tops of sport routes which really freaked me out in the beginning, but I have to say their bolts are in the rock pretty ...

No heel hook, you have to cut your feet from a heal hook under the roof and campus/jump to the hold he is on. Then smear/campus to the next hold till you can get your foot real high on that top face. Super scary and definetly higher than it looks in that pic.

Well, they had no fences, but, these horses were tame, so they must have an owner who just lets them live free up in the mountains.

Yes, I do wish I could just zap myself back and forth whenever I want. Star Trek style. Hmph. Still haven't been to a gym over here, but hope that when we start going, we'll make some bouldering/climbing buddies.... Keep posting pics, its so nice to see everyone.

Jeremy

I have not looked at this site since I moved to Germany basically and just saw this thread. I had no idea and I am so upset to hear that this happened. It is wonderful to hear he is doing so much better now with therapy. I pray this progress continues and wish I could come to visit.

Friday we got a big group together to meet in the New for the Rendezvous and to white water raft! Super fun. I did the bouldering competition with Frank and Jerimiah and then the sumo wrestling and dyno comp! Sunday we rafted the lower new and were flipped completely in a class V rapid. Wish I could...
