Torrent Falls
Torrent Falls
Does anyone know the climbing status of Torrent Falls? I thought I heard last summer that it would eventually reopen to climbing again. Have been waiting for some news but have not seen any. Does anyone know if it will reopen to climbing?
I think it is still closed due to the transition to the new owner and past poor behavior of a**hole climbers not respecting the previous owner's wishes (this is my opinion-not a verified fact). People need to realize that climbing on private property (Muir Valley and Torrent) is a privilege and it would help if people recognized this instead of acting entitled to climb there. Not that the person asking is entitled, just people have acted that way--they lose touch of the fact that private owners are being totally cool and generous to let us climb on their land.
Hauling a big ego up a route adds at least a full grade.

If you rent a cabin you can still climb there.
Currently I think it is still closed to the general hordes.
I don't know, some environmental stuff like letting the area recover.

I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
