There is a petition gaining momentum to have all recreational activities on public lands banned on Sundays in Kentucky. This will include hunting, hiking, fishing, and rock climbing. I will post a URL soon for those of you who will back this much needed legislation.

recreation and religion are both personal choices
i don't see any other connection
please explain why this is a much needed piece of legislation

yes, and the ticketing will be on the honor system since there will be, under no circumstances, anyone allowed to work on sundays.

FS employees are currently installing kiosks (on weekdays and Saturdays, of course) at trailheads across Kentucky as part of the "Personal Citation Fine Demo Program".

Legion is correct on all counts. The reason this legislation is needed is that people need to be protected from themselves and forced to do the right thing.

Wouldn't it be easier to fine people for not attending church? Then they wouldn't have to hike up the approach to Pebble Beach to fine people... HUH! GIVE ME A CIG!

WWJD if he came back? Well, he wouldn't goto church on Sunday due to other activities on his agenda... that is for sure!
