I know theres a post below about this. But were did the bolts get moved to? Was it ever rebolted? Did some one bolt any other easy trad routes to make up for that one?
Any how,
Thanks for any advice,
Um, yes philip. there are many well bolted trad routes in the gorge. In fact, I am heading a bolting campaign in which I intend to bolt every trad line in the gorge. I think that trad climbing is DANGEROUS!!! In fact, we started last weekend, Yasmeen and I, by bolting Roadside Attratction. We even installed rap anchors where that first tree was (after we cut it down), so that it would be a cool two pitch climb.
Anyway, I'll keep you updated as we bolt more cracks.
I think Brontosaurus should be next. Those placements are so frustrating!! I think if we position the bolts right, we'll be able to clip them from Welcome to Ol' Kentuck, too!

Sweet dude! This is the best news I've heard all week! Finally someone sees how silly and DANGEROUS that trad climbing stuff is. I'll help raise money to purchase all the new hardware!
I don't think that that will really be a problem Yas. I'm pretty sure that we have enough bolts to get both those routes! That's the spirit though. So, we are up for suggestions on which cracks to bolt next. Should we start with the easier grades and then work our way up? Or, should we start with the harder, more DANGEROUS routes and then work our way down? Any input would be appreciated.
