Bear Wallor Hollor, Board Wall, & Between Wall...anyone ever been to these areas?
We hit Board Wall a couple of weeks ago. Too bad the rock isn't better 'cause its a short walk and the crag faces the right direction. Anyone found/done Domestic Violence?
What about Conquest at BWH?
King Minas At Between?
Just curious about some of these obscure crags and lines.
Obscure Lower Gorge Crags
Obscure Lower Gorge Crags
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.
Pretty chossy where you need to build an anchor wasnt it?Yes I have been all over the lower gorge. Its a cool place and there is still tons of unexplored cliffine. The rock quality is better on the other side of the creek, but thats just my opinion.

I've been to all of them and was unimpressed. Difficult to identify climbs, balmy summers, lack of footpaths...everything I've come to love in a bouldering spot.
King Minas looked cool but the climbing seemed kinda serious. Its the distinct spire you can see across and slightly SW from Muscle Beach and you can see it from the parking area and along the approach as well.
I think I found Conquest once, but am not sure and if it was it didn't look like it was worth going back to.
I agree with ynot, the other side of the valley seems to have better rock, though there is some unexplored (except by me) potential spread around both sides of the valley.
I know of one really good little crag with almost no development with a decent short, but steep approach and a nice SE aspect. It'd be all trad with some nice looking faces that could be TRed. Anyone interested?

Thanks for the insight, I figured out the answers but felt the need to ask. Ya'll are right, there is a lot of rock out there and some of it might be good, just have to be willing to explore...and swim through a lot of rhodo.
