Muir Valley on a Monday

Post by tsparks »

I know weekends there can be very busy but what should I expect on a Monday? Will the 'easy' walls be more open on a Monday?

Yeah you should be fine, especially this time of year. I am sure there will be others at the "easy" walls but plenty of good climbs to go around.

On Mondays at Muir during this part of the year, we typically see about 70 to 90 visitors. Lots of moderate climbs are open. This is compared to a typical Saturday - our peak day - with 240 visitors. With over 350 routes, it still isn't too crowded. But, if you show up late on a Saturday and the parking lots are overflowing, consider the PMRP as an alternative. The attendance there is roughly half that of Muir's.
