Unknown roofish crack at Military?

Post by megmay »

Might any of you fine posters know the history of the roof hand crack between GI and Beene Material? The route begins with a long 1-2 inch hand crack at the back of the cave that eventually intersects another finger crack from the right at the lip. The lip is close enough to a hollow-sounding protrusion to that you can stand or start (our choice) from there to pull the lip which continues up to more nice crackage. The rout gets generally wider and dirtier from here before ending at a tree with several old slings, the nicest of which was green and dated 07/07.

The rout was pretty good, we were surprised it didn't get a shout out in recent guides, but I haven't checked the Bronaugh guide.

Any ideas....

If it was fairly easy, it was probably "Green Gully", a 5.3. The book says it's about 100' long. Maybe 50' left of GI. If it was hard, it should have been Pink Feat 5.12a.

It isn't green gully, it is just right (25-30') of Special Impetus.
