So the "rumor" swirling is that Roadside is "for sale" for the tidy sum of $200K. Add to that the "rumor" that it was bought for 15k less than a decade ago by "climbers", and I for one would like some substantiation of these rumors. Anyone have a solid scoop?
And adding to the rumor is that the coalition offered them 30K and they turned it down? true or not?
Roadside for sale?
Roadside for sale?
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.

I heard the same. Sounds messed up to me. Didn't they just receive a grant?

WOW, sounds like a bunch of BS. 200k is a robbery.

Re: Roadside for sale?
Well it is worth more than $30K....but it would be unreasonable for the RRGCC or anyone else to spend $200K for it.
I've been a gumby longer than you've been climbing.
Re: Roadside for sale?
rotflol omg lol lol - I just laughed gingerale out of my nose. Now it all makes sense lol. "I'm closing this because a hippy in a hammock put a perma draw up and somebody peed and let their dog run loose." good one. Hope they get all they ask for. Omg I just laughed so hard I think I broke my left ball.
Re: Roadside for sale?
Another part of the rumor I heard (from multiple sources also) was that the offer was only for the cliff line, and that the owners would retain the majority of the preserve. Also, why does anyone think this property is worth more than 30k? Are there mineral reserves, multiple parties interested or possibly a heretofore undisclosed tourist attraction?
Pick myself up, stop lookin' back.
