sitting around reminds me too much of when I had a job and was 'working.' Bleh. I am stuck here waiting for my ISP service tech. He may show anytime from 8 am to 6 pm. Jeebus, I may go insane. Or you all may, since I'm spamming the site much like I used to in the old days...
The highlight of my day so far was when I went out on the deck and a giant fucking cicada dive bombed my head. I don't get wigged out by much (just cockroaches), but I was flailing and screaming like a little girl to get this fucker out of my face. I think it would have been hilarious to be someone else watching.
So what should I be when I grow up? I have to start thinking about thinking about looking for a job sometime in the (near?) future. I find it amusing as hell when my old colleagues suggest I try to combine my passion for climbing with a career. HAHAHA maybe I'll start a business called DirtbagsRus and consult on efficient dumpster diving and the art of reusing those moist towelettes for multiple 'showers.'
Sitting around blows
OMG, we had one of those big assed jar flies flip it's wig and try to get in the house the other night. It must have been trying to mate with its reflection in the sliding glass door or something because it just kept flying into it and wouldn't leave. I hosed that thing down with a chemical arsenal that would make Saddam jealous and it STILL took 20 minutes to die. As for your consulting business, that was pretty damn funny! I laughed my ass off!

Why is it that when you're sitting around doing nothing you wish that you could work or do something that keeps you busy. But, when you're working you wish you could just sit around and do nothing. I've always wondered about that.
We're all in this together
Walkin' the line between faith and fear
This life don't last forever
When you cry I taste the salt in your tears.

I combined my passion for climbing and people into a career... as have many others.
Here's a question:
Do you do what you do because you enjoy it for it's own sake, or because it affords you the ability to do what you truly enjoy and gives you some feeling of security?
I can't imagine doing something for a living that I didn't truly love just so I'd feel secure and be able to occasionally do what I TRULY enjoy.
Those who are able to do both should feel truly blessed. I know I do.
