Painful Weekend

Post by t bone »

Anybody else hit hard by this pests, Friday i got stung by paper wasps on friday at work . I get to miguels on sat and get nailed by yellow jackets. Sunday morning at roadside and another hit from a hornet on the stomach. Needless to stay climbing was painful for me this weekend. I guess it could be worse, i heard yoda got a bad catch out west!

Poor yoda!!

T-bone I can feel your pain. That's what last fall was to me. OH & Bberlier wants to know what cologne you are wearing at the crags, so he can avoid it!
Just genuinely disengenuous.

how long before the swelling goes down and I can get my climbing shoe back on this foot?

Tbone, it was a honey bee that got me - I'm pretty sure. There were hornets and wasps all over the place, though. More than I have ever seen.

So is Yoda okay?????

damn Yoda, I'm glad you are okay and very sorry about your accident. Are you going to have to take some major down time? Will you recover fully?

Man Yoda, I'm sorry to hear that. I've been dropped before, but compressed vertebrae sounds pretty bad. What is the whole story so we all can learn from it?

T-bone, the stingers were out in full force for sure.

I got stung just shy of my nipple while I was climbing motha. Kinda freaked me out for the rest of the climb.

All I can say is I'm glad you all are posting this stuff. I swore off climbing for August because the bugs were just too bad in July. Sounds like I did the right thing for me. If you can deal with it, power to you! But my little wimpy ass is enjoying the break from being a weekend feast.

Sorry to hear about your fall yoda. I hope you're OK.
Does he have a strange bear claw like appendage protruding from his neck? He kep petting it.

My boyfirend swears that taking garlic supplements daily wards off the bugs. He never gets bit but I don't know if the garlic is repsonsible. He took garlic 3 times a day when he was in Guatemala and never got bit by the MOAS (Mosquitos of abnormal size). Worth a try.
