They were probably thinking they'd have to place pins, which is naughty enough in Zion! Which route is that Gaar? Any hope of freeing it someday?

Did you see the bolt at the shot of one of their anchors? It was lighter than the drill...

It is Gatekeeper crack behind the watchman.
We placed 4 pins in 750 feet, the FA placed 6
It was more of a recon to see if it would go free one day. All but 2 sections of about 20ft each will go free. one at the top of P4 and p7

Why had a Grade IV climb not been done in a day? Last time I checked grade VI means a long day, but no bivy... Did you do the second ascent?
