To kinda continue some of the discussion for the roadside accident thread, I thought this was an interesting article. Maybe replace hiker with climber in a few of the places as well..

"We saw the increase in non-emergencies with cell phones: people called saying 'I'm cold and damp. Come get me out.' These take it to another level."

Once again a law is needed to keep people from being stupid. If you are smart enough to buy a personal locator beacon, you are smart enough to know when it is idiotic to push the damn button.
