I'd stay away from Ebay for vinyl unless you really know what it is you're selling- With a lot of records, one version is completely worthless, while a nearly identical album with only a slight variance, like only mono tracks, or a slightly different label can be worth big cash. I'd track down a reputable vinyl dealer and let him/her pick through what you've got- you may only have one real gem, (or none at all), but finding that one can be entirely worth the trouble...

Good point, but I would think it would be more likely to be ripped off by a dealer than by ebay. On ebau it seems more likely that more than one person would be aware of the true value and bid up the price. Anyone know of a local dealer that could be trusted?Jay wrote:I'd stay away from Ebay for vinyl unless you really know what it is you're selling- With a lot of records, one version is completely worthless, while a nearly identical album with only a slight variance, like only mono tracks, or a slightly different label can be worth big cash.
