Getting lost like Frodo
looking for a crag
in a forest full of Rhodo
with an overloaded bag
S piders, snakes and swarms of wasps
Munge and manky seeping choss
Spinning bolts and rusty chains
Don't forget to use your brains
Neon lights and birthday nights
Show us all your strength and might
Sweaty gym mats smell like pee
That shit ain't my cup of tea

Where's the both option? I climbed and rapelled outside in Hocking Hills state park Ohio in 1992. The benchmark opened that same fall and I climbed on their wall over that whole winter. So I kinda started ouside and in at the same time. It wasn't until 94 that Vertical Adventures opened up.

There is no climbing indoors, only training and socializing.
I started learning movement indoors though.

Damn, beat me to it. I do wish I realized this a lot earlier though.
