Did You Start Climbing Indoors or Outdoors?
When you first went climbing did you start in a gym or outdoors?
"Be responsible for your actions and sensitive to the concerns of other visitors and land managers. ... Your reward is the opportunity to climb in one of the most beautiful areas in this part of the country." John H. Bronaugh

Getting lost like Frodo
looking for a crag
in a forest full of Rhodo
with an overloaded bag
S piders, snakes and swarms of wasps
Munge and manky seeping choss
Spinning bolts and rusty chains
Don't forget to use your brains
Neon lights and birthday nights
Show us all your strength and might
Sweaty gym mats smell like pee
That shit ain't my cup of tea

The only escape is up.
Where's the both option? I climbed and rapelled outside in Hocking Hills state park Ohio in 1992. The benchmark opened that same fall and I climbed on their wall over that whole winter. So I kinda started ouside and in at the same time. It wasn't until 94 that Vertical Adventures opened up.
