lurkist-

I have already notified the appropriate people at the University that we should be members of the RRGCC at the highest level possible, as well as making sure that the next time a trail day comes along that as many coordinators as possible are present to help with trail building. I have witnessed many students go on to pursue climbing on their own and see them in the gym and at the gorge. These new inductees give back as much as possible and hopefully make a positive impact for everyone. If you have suggestions as to new areas in the Red that would be most promising for establishing new, easy routes I would be happy to put in the time and effort into developing new routes and trails at these locations.

Maybe through the development of the Southern Region, Lago Linda, and the Weber's new place we could establish an area that Universities/groups could use and ease the burden on the more popular areas and keep the large crowds away.

Here here (note that I am now just the Lurkist's cheerleader). All we're saying is that y'all need to give back. And we say that to everyone, regardless of race, creed, religious affiliation, non-affiliation, education, sexuality, bitchiness or non-bitchiness!

Well, I always like to meet new people, but if you really are a harbinger of death....I mean "rain bringer"...... then I should probably stay away from you because I need all the dry climbing days I can get this year. ;)

Now my question is thus: Do you really want to be the queen?

Mj
*scream* no I do not want to be the queen.
but i do wear hi-heels while climbing. (ask yasi, she got to use the silver ones at t-wall.)
and as for being a harbinger of death...ask loren, for i distinctly recall the sky going black a couple of times we were together and he felt an overwhelming sense of dooooommmmm, DDDDOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!
yup, that was me.

Eric, props for getting your university involved. Which university are you affiliated with and what sort of response is your outdoor pursuit center giving you?

Those things make for bomber heel-toe cams. You should start renting them out to the trad daddies around here.

Sprag,

so what you are saying, while you do not discriminate against all those PC labels you so flippantly threw into the mix....is that MAYBE you will discriminate against 5.8 climbers?

Think about it..it is usually the gumbies who are coming to the Red in larger groups, and staying under one climb all day...erosion, erosion, erosion...

(We would never see that scenario at the Lode, btw)

So Sprag has spoken..if you climb under 5.10a, we will discriminate against you, cause you are a burden on the resources. You owe more, so go pay your dues...

(btw, thanks for the phone message..i lost your number....)

I believe the "everyone" would include even hardcore 10b climbers like yourself

and just because we might not see as much erosion at the Lode, doesn't mean you elite climbers are exempted from doing your part...

pigsteak, She'll also discriminate if you're a Yankee. So to make it accurate, all 5.8 Yankee climbers need to pay their dues.

Mia, finally you didn't get me beat 100%...the lode part was tongue in cheek..haven't you ever been to the base of the 12 wall? disgusting. not just people erosion, mind you...wanna take a guess where everyone takes a shit?

I know meadows....sprag hates those from the trifecta states of Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois....

and mia, aren't you a vegetarian? I hate stalkers....

nope i used to be a veggie but now i'm a meat eater...

well i have never been to the lode because i'm one of those unfortunate weak climbers...but glad to hear even elite climbers do their part to trash nature.

i'm originally from illinois and spragie loves me :D

(btw way you might have gotten me on a technicality here but i'll get you back )

MiaRock, She probably refuses to believe that you're not a Dixie. She loves me too, but my grandma is from KY.
