First off, I want to thank everyone big-time for the support so far--we are just past halfway to the cost of this huge project. Don't worry, any additional funds will be used by TeamSuck for keeping other routes safe in the Red, including Jeff Neal's ongoing SSGI campaign at FRC and a few other spots, including the Shire (thanks Jeff!!).
Also thanks to Blake Bowling for all the help not only with rebolting routes all over the place, but also website and PayPal support via
http://teamsuckclimbing.com/help/ ... Thanks as well to the Petzl/Climbing Magazine Anchor Replacement Initiative for chipping in materials & chain for new top anchors, and Ed Mank for a large pile of chain & steel biners to replace unsafe and sharp existing draws on routes.
Now, even though I know lots and LOTS more people have given money than the list below, I present the Adopt-a-Route list thus far, in the interest of drumming up a little more dough to reach our goal:
Rene Keyzer-Andre: 8-Ball
Saxman: BOHICA
heacocis: Chainsaw Massacre
THB: "whatever's not taken" (classic route!)
reachhigh: Rocket Dog
steep4me: $200, good for 3-4 routes!
climb2core: Stain
One-Fall: Take That, Katie Brown
jimmy: Skin Boat
drifter: The Madness
Elodie: Ale-8-One
dustonian: Resurrection
Artsay: Hoofmaker (seemed appropriate?)
caribe: Crescenta
Again, I know
many other people have given lots of money and just didn't "announce" it on this thread, sorry I can't list you here as I don't have the PayPal info at present. If you had a specific route in mind to "adopt" with your donation, or just want to spray a little about how much dough you chipped in, please post it up here--even if you already donated!
Thanks again everyone and we'll be getting to work soon. And if you have placed glue-ins before and feel reasonably confident with your technique, please drop me or lurkist at PM... thanks to all those who have volunteered to help out already!
Finally,
BIG thanks to our leading donor so far, William Page, who has pledged a whopping $1000 towards the cause! His son frequents the Lode and they had a great time hanging out here together last fall. Thanks again for your generous support William!
See y'all at the crag!!
