Especially when you add in all the "injuries and unreported deaths." Casualty is an all-encompassing term that means death AND injury. If you have 100 casualties, you can have 1 injured, 99 dead or 99 dead and 1 injured or no dead or all dead or some combination. You really should know what the facts are saying before attacking others. In a discussion, it helps to familiarize yourself with the vocabulary before you get butt-hurt and flip your lid.

Now...as for your "unreported" deaths. If they are unreported, how do you, uh, report them? You just pick a fantastic number that goes along with your argument?

That's exactly what I was pointing out... that Mr. Day was leaving injuries from his casualty list. It's best if you learn to comprehend what you read. I didn't realize I was arguing with a bunch of retards...

I apologize. I did read that incorrectly. I'm dealing with retards in my own way, right now. Was just skimming through as I have a required interactive video on driver's safety running. Deep, monotoned voice telling me not drive too fast, check the air in my tires and get plenty of rest. Sometimes I have to check boxes about that. The panic that increased the sale of guns and ammo was the election of Obama.

Even with paying for two wars, social programs spending that offers little to no return value exceeds the DoD budget.

The country is divided. That's what happens when you have issues that people care deeply about. Being in Afghanistan and Iraq is just one of those issues.

Did 9/11 have anything to do with Obamacare ripping the divide? States actually passing resolutions over it that threaten secession? I don't believe so.

Did the terrorists have anything to do with housing bubble and its collapse? No?

How about bailout after bailout for industry after industry? hmmmm....

Unemployment? Did terrorists take away our jobs? Send them overseas? Shut down factories?

Being in Iraq and Afghanistan is not the most divisive issue we are facing. It is just one of them. It can be traced back to a terrorist attack. I'd say it is the least of our worries at this moment. OEF does not help the matters one bit, but attacking it is like trying to wipe up the spilled water without worrying about the shards of glass on the floor...

Indeed. Apply the ideology of non-interventionism to each of the above issues and you'll find the solution. Again, when following the advice of people like Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and Benjamin Franklin... it's hard to go wrong.
