For the record, I'm not criticizing the RRGCC. But I AM criticizing Gretchen for being mean and limiting constructive communication. All the folks I know associated with the RRGCC are awesome, good people. To these people, I'm sorry if I have hurt you at all by posting my feelings about Gretchen. I just got mad seeing how she talks down to people.

Fuck all y'all chuffers and your bolting of cracks. Fuck Artsay for being so sweet and objective, fuck Gretchen for editing her post on the other site, fuck KD for derailing the thread. Fuck the RRGCC for preserving climbing in the DBNF and buying the biggest piece of land dedicated to climbing in the US. Fuck Rhino for his positivity and accountability.

Thanks Ryan. And thanks for volunteering your time. I was asking really out of curiosity. What about the other positions? How does one come about being a member of the BOD? Is it by invitation only or do they get elected like the CAC?

Oh yeah, phuck the mods and their wordfilters. Sometimes you can't get a point across without a little phuckspeak.

To become a Board member you must be elected by the existing Board. As a point of clarification, even if you resign you technically remain on the Board until a replacement is found. There are a total of seven Board positions. One resignation is pending replacement (Wes) and two Board members have indicated they will not remain on the Board after the end of their existing terms (Shannon & Gretchen). Thus the RRGCC Board is actively searching for potential new Board Members. We are first looking for people who can make a committment to attend meetings and be involved in Coalition work. Second we are looking for people who can bring needed skills to the table such as legal, business, grants, marketing, and/or past non-profit experience. Anyone with a serious interest in becoming a Board member can feel free to contact me.

Thank you for the information.
