I like it when three people are yelling conflicting beta at the same time while you are cruxing. You kind of get this zen fix as you have to wipe the slate clean and come up with your own solution: just what the hell did your dad look like before he was born?

do all you actually hear people talk when you're climbing? i have to tear my attention away from the rock to even hear my belayer when i'm on hard stuff, you could wreck a train and i wouldn't notice until i said "off belay".

Don't forget about screaming WHILE you're climbing too - Merrick has been exposed Miguel's theory. And, hell, if it works for them kung-fu dudes, it's probably good fer pebble wrastlers. Plus, it helps to keep the spotters screaming when the climber is screaming. WOOOOOOO!
(On the other hand, one of the most motivating things anyone has ever said to me while climbing was a very soft, quiet, calm "go on, mate, go on" from an English guy belaying me through a tough onsight crux! No screaming, just perfect focused calmness.)
