that is funny. i won't defend wisconsin too much, its a nice place though. madison is a fun place to go to school. and at least we have more climbing than Ohio. Devil's Lake is legend, even if its not as cool as it once was. what does Ohio have to offer? Nothing! its only saving grace is that its close to the red

Don't go mocking the cheese heads. They do a nice job of maintaing the state that we Chicagoans own for vacation property!
(That's total sarcasm, for the sarcasm-sensing impared.)

We're watching City Confidential on TV tonight. Its about the murder of the sherrif in Somerset a few years ago. ONe person made reference to the mass exodus of boats from up north to Lake CUmberland as the Ohio Navy. I had to laugh at that.
Ok, for all you buckeyes out there: If Ohio isn't the armpit of the world then why do you all flock to the surrounding states every chance you get? Hmmm? THe place must be abandoned on the weekends.
I can give my opinion with a clear conscience. I was born in Winchester, KY, lived here until the beginning of my third grade year when we moved to Springboro, OH. I moved back to Stanton and finished up high school. So while I am not technically a buckeye, I get accused of it all the time.
Having said that, being a Stanton local, I see the newspaper reports and the TV broadcasts. 9.9 times out of 10 the person that falls off a cliff, gets bitten by a snake, shoots himself or herself in the foot, turns over the ATV, etc. is from Ohio.
To be fair, you gotta realize that I consider anything north and/or west of Winchester Ohio.

I saw two of those boats sitting on the side of the highway on the way home. One even had a couple honeys in it. Maybe the numbers are dwindling.

I live in Columbus Ohio, grew up in Aurora Ohio(NE). Ohio is just your average cold/hot, cloudy/rainy midwest state..nothing special. Columbus offers me a great diverse city with great employment and educational opportunities...again nothing really special. Although, since this is a thread on a climbing web page. I will state that Columbus, Ohio is exactly 4 hours between the top two sport climbing areas in the United States, The Red River Gorge and The New River Gorge. So I am lucky to be a gainfully employed, part time college attending rock climber in Columbus Ohio!
OK now you can return to bashing Ohio...
