Herbalist, I dont think I know you but you are right we have talked and there is nothing else that can be done right now, but the main thing that I want to happen for the future is that Benny and anyone else out there to go around and do other projects Tagged or untagged, unless specified open. Benny says he didnt know if it was open or not, but to me that is hard to believe because we talked a month ago at Left Flank and I told him what was open for him to get on. That is the whole reason I was ever upset with benny. If anyone else would have done it because there wasnt a tag on it then so be it they had no clue but the simple fact is that we talked about it, and he had a good idea that it was closed, and should have talked to me before doing it. There are alot of things I would like to say but am choosing not to, and will probably never say on the board or face to face, cause I am not a confrontational kind of person. What happens happened and we will all have to live with it and the reputations that go along with it.

since kenny forgot the red tag, I am guessing that gives benny a bit more of an excuse. on a simlar note, is it OK to give "permission" to a specific person or two, but not to everyone? my example: I bolted this line that is right at my limit. I red tagged it. I gave permission to two of my friends with similar abilities to try and send the route as well. I figured this would stir the competitive juices. However, I intentionally did not give that same permission to my buddy who climbs way harder than I do, as I knew he would send his first or second go. Is my selective permission a moral failure?

No the only thing this thread should be about is who Yanked tony's Route "Believer" at purgatory. He deservse compensation for his efforts on the route and the Maintiance of the crag. Step forward if you have been on and have done the route to the left of Special Boy.

I think as far as anyone is concerned, the route Believer has yet to be sent and is waiting for Tony to do so. No witnesses or anything right?

Oh the pain of it all. You give so much and ask for nothing in return. They just take and you bleed tears. I can feel your pain. The passion of allah.

To all who care,

I must admit that this whole event has opened my eyes to the multiple and varied interpretations associated with this subject.

I fully support Kenny in his continued efforts and hope that this incident will not suppress his desire to find inner passion in the pursuit of developing new routes.

Those of us who today or in the future are ever blessed with the ability to do the lines after Kenny sends them, will hopefully reflect on the vision and the "eye" he possess. Kenny is a good man who is learning the art of route development and although this incident is not the norm, I hope it proves to be a lesson which will help define him and all of us who take upon the task of placing fresh steel. Climbing with Kenny is truly enlightening and I applaude his efforts both on and off the crag.

Comments, concerns, tips, donations, and massive supplies of Ale-8 one may be sent to my office on campus at 5.12 I can crank no more blvd. Columbus, Ohio 5.5_5.6_5.7

Personally I think watching porn and having an unlimited supply of cheese doodles is the only true way of life. But that is my opinion...

Later everyone,
Tony

P.S. mmmmmmm cheese doodles!!!!

Kenny, I commend you on your restraint regarding this situtation. I'm very sorry this happened. People who skank routes are fucking scum. I think the guidebook(s) should state "FA: Unknown" when this happens. What do you route developers think?

I think Kenny should be the FA nevertheless...by cleaning and bolting, he did the first ascent..now we are waiting on his first free ascent. f***** scum sandy? geesh, its only rock...
