so now is obama a farce to you tomdarch?...you just spent three hours of your life defending his pastor, and he distances himself. is he playing politics as well (gasp)?

nice blanket statement 'white people having a visceral experience"...yack, yack, yack....Wright bemoans Condeleeza Rice, Clarence Thomas, Alan Keyes, etc, calling them "traitors". (btw, they are black)

Wright is not so much pissed about the black experience in the USA....he is pissed about his own lack of power, and he is looking to ride Obama's coat tails...Wright is an angry man, pure and simple...spin it like you want, I'm done.

Justifying his tirades is pathetic.

From Obama's website:

"The pastor of my church, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who recently preached his last sermon and is in the process of retiring, has touched off a firestorm over the last few days. He's drawn attention as the result of some inflammatory and appalling remarks he made about our country, our politics, and my political opponents.

Let me say at the outset that I vehemently disagree and strongly condemn the statements that have been the subject of this controversy. I categorically denounce any statement that disparages our great country or serves to divide us from our allies. I also believe that words that degrade individuals have no place in our public dialogue, whether it's on the campaign stump or in the pulpit. In sum, I reject outright the statements by Rev. Wright that are at issue."

Finally, a liberal with a conscience for what is right. Thank God that Tomdarch isn't Obama's political advisor. Thank God.

OK, so Obama strongly condemns and and categorically denounces the degrading, divisive and disparaging statements of his pastor. Now even Obama is hearing hateful remarks that aren't there. Right tomdarch? Right caribe?

Obama's spiritual advisor has been revealed as a hard left, hateful, divisive, jackass. Something that Obama says he has just now become aware of. I think Obama's presidential aspiration may well hinge on whether his claim, that he was unaware of the kind of things his pastor has been saying all these years, is demonstrated to be true or false.

And, tomdarch, nice job trying to switch the subject to Hagee, but he is not McCain's pastor, and he certainly isn't his fucking "spiritual advistor". So please spare us that deranged rant.

Tom Maguire - "Whoa. It is hardly as if this is the church Obama's parents selected and he inherited. He sought out Wright, was moved by Wright, and is now pretending he had no idea Wright said these things."

Do I NEED to point out that all of this shit was foretold at the Solar Collector years ago- Who here has heard of a route called "Blue Eyed Honkey Jesus."

L Day, and all of you other insecure whiteys about to have your class position challenged by the first black president of the USA, before you cast stones at the plight of the black man in America, go do this route. THEN you MIGHT have some small incite into the words of Rev. Wright.

It all comes full circle back to the stone....

I'm out....

What a bunch of crap. I'm fine with a black president. I'm just not OK with anyone who is this close to gliding into office completely under the radar, without his or her background, beliefs and associations being examined. Finally, the media has decided to do it's job and stop giving Obama a free pass. We should know who we're actually voting for. I'm not at all comfortable with voting for someone just because they're a blank canvas on which we are left to paint a portrait of who we HOPE they turn out to be.

L Day, relax man. I was just joking.

The comment about climbing having a greater comment of social injustice and revisionist history (like Jesus was actually as he is portrayed in basically every picture in Western History, as a Caucasian fair haired man) was all just me being absurd on Ray's bbs. I didn't REALLY mean it.

And it is okay if you can't climb 12b. This is the whatever forum where your lack of climbing ability can hide in anonymity and you can wow us with your crazy right wing Idaho brain washed dogma.

But to the point, you seem to be really concerned about Barak. How does it make you feel to envision the future with a good looking black guy in the White House? Do you think he has a big dick? Does it threaten you that he is better in the sack than you are?
