at Military this weekend there was a jacked-up Chevy Tahoe (the old 2 door style) with a rack and spare tire on top. in addition to various climbing stickers on the back window was a sticker saying, in effect, "No Fat Chicks". we get up to Military and meet the owner of the truck while he's getting off Moonbeam. the guy was at least 40-50 pounds overweight with a nice beer belly, I was wondering how the hell a guy can put a sticker like that on his big ol' truck without recognizing the incredible hippocracy of being fat himself. oh yeah, he also mentioned something about how he wishes he could clean his rope so that it was as blindingly yellow as it was when he bought it.

oh come on farty, i know that wasn't you; i met you the weekend before at military when you were there with the rest of the crusties, although you may not have known it was me. anyhow, i have no problem with people who are overweight, i just find it hillarious when fat people make/display discriminating statements about other fat people. reminds me of the chapel show skit about the blind-black guy who was the head of the KKK

Huge gumbypalooza at military yesterday, a group of about 20 spring breakers walked straight up to the 12 wall. I forget who won the bet, but they actually made it 7 minutes before comming back to ask us where some easy climbs were. Then their leader, fights up fuzzy, and (despite my warning) unclips on the way down so that every noob who tried to TR the climb and got spit of at the start and could not get back on the wall. No lifethreatening event so myself and another group just sat back and laughed.
