I wonder what percentage of iraqui civilians have died as a result of the war as compaired to the number killed by sadam. For that matter, how many would have died by saddam since the war began compaired to the number killed as a result of the war.

BTW, I am an Obama man, and I hear he is starting to kick Clinton's butt.

seriously folks, this group of climbers who I now call friends is the best thing ever. This friendly ribbing is nothing in the big picture, but the bonds that we all form are immeasurable. To all, thank you for all the laughs on here.

Saddam butchers hundreds and thousands and not a peep

Yeah Saddam murdered over 125000 Iraqis in 20 years. America has slaughtered over 650,000 civilians who were in the line of fire in the last 5 years. Glad we got rid of Hussein! Think of the lives we have saved.

Sorry, Atl. Do Some research. You'll find that the claim is "650,000 extra deaths", not "650,00 civilians slaughtered by America". There's a difference you know. Still, the Lancet number of 650,000 is absurdly high. Their study has been panned by everyone. Nobody knows what the real number of extra deaths is. Iraq Body Count says 65,000. The Johns Hopkins University study says 194,000 I believe. All the "studies" seem to have serious methodological flaws.

But Saddam is believed to have been responsible for the deaths of something like 1,000,000 Iraqis, Iranians, and Kuwaitis. The numbers say Saddam had to go.

Hate Bush all you want. Argue that the Iraq war is a terrible misadventure. Support that argument honestly. But why slander you're own country? No good can come from that.

Your right larry, Bush won the war, but more importantly our economy is doing great. Remember money makes the world go around.
