The left freaks out.

Post by L Day »

Just found this:

The Left's Collective Aneurysm
As expected, today’s extraordinary front page article in the New York Times on progress in Iraq is causing aneurysms across wide swathes of the left-wing blogosphere. You might think the news that “the security improvements in most neighborhoods are realâ€

That's the mentality that puts us in the state the country is in. I can guarantee you that average neo-con would be just as incredulous if we were losing.

But people have good reason to be skeptical after being fed mostly lies during the first 2 years in iraq.

A war is not a horse race, and people are not horses. When people die it is for real. It is not a betting game, but life or death for the men who are there. I respect them for their service, and at the same time condemn those who sent them there to die.

Atl - Sorry you didn't get my reference to Bin Laden's "strong horse" metaphor.

Regardless of how any American feels about whether or not the war was justified, the left let their hatred of Bush turn them into treasonous cowards who actually wanted to see their own country loose the war against radical Islam. They're performance was pathetic, they bet on the jihadists, and now, pardon me, but I'm going to rub it in.

Well I feel that the difference between left and right is like choosing Pepsi or Coke...the same artificial shit in a different can. However I find that I do not like what is happening in Iraq right now. I have been an active member of the armed forces before as an infantryman, and I want to enlighten others to the notion that these are people and not chess pieces. They have families who want to see them again, and they don't necessarily want to die for someones political gain.

There is a big difference between losing, and taking your ball and going home.

I should spend more time copying and pasting like you, Day. Funny how every line you "came up with" can be Googled to a right wing blog.

He doesn't have to copy and paste. The right wingers are very united on their stance to just about everything. Galvanized by conservative talk radio, they can all recite their collective belief system very easily and precisely. That's why they do well in politics. Vs those stupid free thinking liberals who never agree on anything.
