If we are talking the world, I would still say my primary residence would be close to the Red, but I would definitely take a villa somewhere above Nice or perhaps on the Italian island of Sardegna.

How about on a sailboat, just dock where you want. Your only limited to the coasts or along the Mississippi/Ohio.

Fortunately, Bishop is situated in mtns...some of which are known to have snow well into August. As an added bonus, Bishop is close to Tuolumne and Tahoe.
