I am sory for your loss, Artsey. Maisey was a lucky dog. She had a good life with you.

I feel really relaxed and content today. It's been a long fight and she's finally at peace. Yesterday I scrubbed our entire house from top to bottom (eight hours!) because three months worth of sickness filled the air and I just had to get rid of it. Ray's mom is getting us a stone with her name on it and this spring I'm going to plant a memorial for her in our garden, burying her urn under the stone. She loved laying out in the sun smelling flowers.

Our other dog, Tika, is noticeably depressed. It's sad. We're adopting the stray Wes saved a few weeks ago so hopefully that'll fill some of the emptiness in our lives. http://www.redriverclimbing.com/viewtopic.php?t=4308 She sure is a beauty...

Thanks for everyone's kind words. Everyone's words have made me feel happy inside. Maizy was such a good dog.

Yay!! I had hoped a friend at work would adopt the dog Wes rescued, but it didn't work out. Glad she found a home.

Isn't amazing the hold a dog has on you. I am so sorry for your loss. My earliest childhood memory is of the family dog passing. I still remember the loss. But I sure Maisey was loved.

Ahh man, I'm sorry to hear the news. I'll never forget the first time I saw her wandering through the old Climb Time, I thought a small bear might be on the loose. She will be missed.

I am SO Sorry Artsay. She was tough for sure. I'll never forget the story of you had her getting down off a climb in Wva and you having to lower using a harnass you made for her. Not THAT is trust. Hang in there.

Sorry to hear about Maizy. That's a nice picture of her that you posted. She looks like she's smiling.

Thanks, Rob. I've been looking at that picture all week. She was definitely smiling, if not saying, "Oh yea, you just take one step closer and watch me jump in the creek like I know you don't want me to do!". She was a silly, goofy big girl. :)
