If it had been illegal I just wouldn't have sprayed the joint up with my magic juice! I'd be on the DL, like Mack5 and his "habit"...

The story helped remind me of the adventure of heading off into the unknown. I am hoping to do a new 2 pitch route this week at an illegal wall but I won't place a single bolt and will leave no trace. Conditions should be optimal this week.

What are "illegal walls", if you don't place bolts and leave no trace? Just curious, because I venture out to remote walls in DBNF and Cliffty Wilderness from time to time.

There are also areas where climbing is not allowed, period. Like WMA (Wildlife Management Areas) and private property where permission has not been acquired. You can't just go out and start climbing, thinking that you are legal because you didn't leave a trace. You just got away with the crime, this time...

I am not climbing on WMA or Private Property. I keep to the NFS. I don't break laws in that respect. Too many good lines in NFS that haven't been done yet and you can still do them as long as you leave no trace and have some balls or other tricks. It's just hiking in the woods, be it vertcical hiking.
