dadude, yeah I'm staying in the US (I really want to go to Mount Arapiles, but a ticket to Australia is in the neighborhood of $2600...), but the thing is I can't rent a car, so flying out west to start wouldn't be the best move. I was thinking of looping down south (since it'll be January when we start) and then hitting the west and north when it gets warmer. So maybe we'll finish with what you were talking about,
canadaclimbergirl, since we'll be running low on funds by the end of the trip anyway I'm sure!
(Thanks for the Canada beta, by the way, I've always wanted to check it out up there-- I've heard a lot about Squamish.)
PS- Nice, Sik

Is that high altitude air in Leadville clouding your brain?
First, Shelf Road is NOT a destination crag.
Second, it's oven hot - even in the shade - in mid August.
I would go do stuff in RMNP in mid August for a road trip.
