so you would not call bologna on your yoga instructor dustin? I say call them out, tell them they are foolish and an idiot for beleiving/practicing such drivel. sure, they harm no one with their personal spirituality experienced thru yoga, but we need verifiable proof. otherwise, paying for a yoga class is the same as putting money in the offering on sunday morning...ie--you are helping to perpetuate the myth.

I don't advocate "calling anyone out" on the basis of their beliefs...if asked, I will tell them what I personally don't believe. I did tell a yoga instructor once that I didn't like all that chanting stuff in the beginning...predictably, he became defensive. I just sing along now with the parts I know to get to the good stuff. If there is no good stuff or I don't like the instructor or if the philosophizing is overly tedious or there is bad music, I'll just walk out. No reason to burden the instructor with my opinion unless they ask.
Now, Westboro Baptist Church on the other hand, there's a group I would happily burden with my opinions if given the opportunity...turns out there is true evil in the world after all!

I now believe. I believe that this thread is God. It's been resurected more times than Jesus could ever dream.

Never argue politics or religion in polite conversation. Since this is never a polite place and politics is overdiscussed on the telly and boring that leaves us with ...you guessed it.

This response I have has went from one page to two, and is about to go to three. Is there a way to post an attachment?
I am serious.

How is this for a suggestion? Keep it simple. If your argument is multipartite post part 1 then part 2 etc. These posts are more cogent when they are short and focused. Nobody is going to give you credit for volume.

Aerialists know doubt focuses and protects one. The craft is practiced to minimize doubts with feats calling for all abandon to be done over safety nets. Aerialists know that blind faith has foreshortened many careers.

Dhuff said he was going to travel the world this year and bestow everyone with the light of his infinite wisdom. He's probably selling dimebags of oregano to Berkeley undergrads or scattering & smothering hash browns at Waffle House by now.

Welcome to art my friend. I saw a good poetic quote about how doubt can cause an accident and you saw and read something else. I took it to mean something like, "Is this the way you tie a bowline? It might not be but I should be okay." The result is an "accident."
You inferred that it must mean something to do with my spirituality, or a poem about such a subject. Maybe you are actually more religious than I and are afraid to admit it? Freudian slip sort of thing.
I am just joking with you, please don't take offense. I actually like your suggestion of breaking things down into points Caribe. My response is coming soon.
