mike, My vote, as if it matters, is to leave the ones you placed. Seems like that is the better way to do the route. I have seen where moving a bolt or two a little bit one way or another will make the route flow way better, while not making it easier.

Plus, out of all the "locals" I would think you are still more qualified to make a judgement on a route of this grade.

Sounds like only one person objects to the new bolts.

It seems there is a precendence in the red of moving bolts to make routes safer, easier to work, or to follow the beta in which routes are actually done rather than the way the route was thought to go at the time of bolting... that said why is this route different other than its grade?

While we are raising millions of dollars on this issue trying to find the truth, I think the bolter should be Tar and Feathered for not putting the bolts in the correct location to begin with.

Hugh Sucks.

Staying with the "50" theme, the 4th bolt on 50 Bucks was moved today which makes the route a high quality 5.12c instead of a contrived 5.12d.

Basically, yeah. I can safely say if I had found the holds Mike did I would have more than likely moved the bolts to accommodate the line. Oh well....
You boys sort it out. Play nice, now, or I will take my bolts and go home.

Today I moved a few bolts on Jump for Joy and have renamed it Leap For Mild Pleasure.
