unless you're wearing clothing resembling some hip-hop wanna be, wearing those sunglasses with the yellow lenses, and hanging out with obe or ivan.

Made it to the valley, but only for two days. Needed to get back to Bishop before they closed the pass, and just made it.
Did a couple cool routes, but mostly just did some hanging out. Need to go back for at least a month or two to really do much there. Felt the starting holds to midnight lighting and bacher-cracker. Must give them real tries next time. Did the 5.9 alt. start to nutcracker and the first pitch of after six - both very fun pitches. Hiked to the base of El Cap, damn that thing is big and steep. Need to start hanging out with Aid4Brians and learn to aid/wall climb this winter...
Still mostly bouldering. Spending time at the Happies. Hope to hit the Druids and buttermilks this weekend. Then maybe a couple more days at the happies trying to finish up a couple "projects". Then off to J-Tree for a bit. Then maybe start heading East.

Wesman, I'd love to take you aiding sometime. I'll show you how to get your bounce test on. The stuff on the glass is perfect for dailing your systems in. Look forward to seeing you when you get back man.
come to the dark side Wes...

Hey Bart! I didn't know you were you!! I got a nice pic of you and Stephanie at Roctoberfest (it's me, Sandy
). When I'm on my other computer I'll email it to you. Are big files okay?
I would like to learn a little aid sometime - maybe I can tag along one of these days? I have Yosemite big wall dreams ("one day...").

Hey Lynne, you didn't know I was me? That's cool, I get a little confused on that one too some days. Yeah, I'd like to see that photo, I'll send ya my email.
Big Wall dreams are a good thing to have. You never know, you may wake up one morning and find yourself in a Sea of Dreams. I'd be happy to show you some aid systems some time.

Cool. I look forward to stick clipping hooks and other such crazy things....
Having fun bouldering. Did my first V4 the other day, and have been doing a bunch of VB-V3 stuff as well. Pretty close to a V5, but might not get it this trip. I think I have done pretty close to a 100 problems or so in the last two weeks, most pretty good, some really good. Looking forward to J-tree, and then back to the SE, were sandstone sloppers rule!!!

thanks for remembering me gretchen
i'm doing great out here. after getting spanked in indian creek and in yosemite (man i suck at cracks!) i am enjoying the playground bishop has to offer me. i am getting heaps stronger and not getting quite as spooked on those highballs. hey and i just bought Hiditaka Suzuki's old pair of dragon shoes. they are actually brand new but i figure they have some good climbing karma attached to them, plus they were like $60 off retail. well now i'm stoked to get spanked once again in J-Tree and really can't wait to get back on my favorite kentucky sandstone in december.
