Trad Gods, please forgive me...

Post by Wes »

So I am in Bishop. Just over the hill from Yosemite (hallowed ground of trad). Yet, all I really want to do is boulder. Is there hope for me? Or should I just sell my rack, and buy one of those big ass Misty Mtn pads and a really big chalk bag?

Trust not to hope, it has abandoned this land.

sell the westerra and the rack and buy you and mia tickts to france and go live at font until the money runs out. you won't regret it.

a crew of us are going to bishop from December 12-23rd. you going to be around those parts then?

Sounds nice Wes. That's rad you're having such fun. You better not sell your rack though cause when we go back to Duncan to do WLOTB we'll need lots of 3.5s. Go work at Mc.D's a for a week if you need a fat pad.

It's all rock man. Just keep crankin. Go check out the ditch and if it doesn't get you psyched then I will trade my smash pad for your rack.

It's fine Wes so long as you don't start saying things like "chuffer" and calling "roped" climbers "Spandexmos".

Do what makes you happy. The big stone over in the Valley isn't going anywhere.
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

sometimes i boulder and have no real desire to climb trad and i wonder why i have all this crap
then other times i climb trad and have no desire to boulder and i wonder why i spent so much time on four or five moves
but at the time both made sense
Just do what feels good at the time and transition back to the other when it feels good to do it. They're both drastically different persuits yet ironicly intertwined
just throw down and have some fun
" climb like hell and die" dipsi
