I had a blast... playing a few of my tunes, then the collaboratin' with Odub... too much fun. I hadn't played my mandolin in a minute [ghetto slang thrown in so that the hick singer/songwriter will fit in], so it was tons of fun to "rock out" with ya.

I had my camera right there with me, but totally forgot to hand it off to someone so we could immortalize the moment that the 5.2JB and 5.12OW shared the stage.
Ahh well, maybe next time.

Thanks ya'll for the compliments on my stuff. I'll have product available by the end of the week... let me know if'n you want some.

I don't write songs about rock climbing, but it's fun to play songs for rock climbers.

Odub, the Mayor, y'all rock. As one of the organizers for the Rocktober Fest I would like to say thanks for being there. You all put the super kind super fresh cap on the night. I was despairing about getting the sound system packed up and getting to bed so I could get up in three hours to work a ten hour shift in Danville on Sunday when you all took the stage. Instead I chilled and took it in. Your alls show made the evening.
JB, you are a soulful man. Odub, you have got the keen perspective and deal it out clean and correct. The mandolin/Odub duet was sooo cool.
Thanks again y'all. Big props. I hope you both will put something together for another climber function.

Odub, I got an idea for a song for you. Have you hear 24's by TI. Do a song about gumbies to this song. I already have the chorus, "Shiney draws, brand new clothes, thats how all the gumbies roll, sewin up 5.4's thats how all the gumbies roll." If you have heard the song it fits perfect. You could add in all the other things that gumbies do down in the red like asking where roadside crag is and everything else. maybe everyone else can pitch in ideas. What do you think and remember I don't claim to be anywhere near being musically talented.
