Charlie Wilson's War - it was a good history lesson. We'd all learned about how we essentially supplied the Taliban with their weapons, but this well-done movie teaches you the story behind it.

I'll third Juno. Sweet and funny. If you want to get some action go with your lady friend.

I'll say Cloverfield is the dumbest fucking movie I've ever had the pleasure of walking out of. Hell it's the only move I've ever walked out of it's that stupid. Don't fuck up Star Trek Abrams!
Screw you guys. I'm going bowling.

Untraceable with Diane Lane (she's one of my favs): Although the sequence of events was predictable, it had a good point about how our society finds entertainment in the demise of others' lives. The internet, as more pervasive as it is becoming, enables us to satisfy our curiosity.

i liked it as well - i thought they could have done a bit more with the plot. at 97 mins it's a very short flick but worth the $3 at the second run theater.

yea, that one is funny, tania.... Parker Posey is a fucking riot.

so -

I just watched Across the Universe last night, and I really liked it, Miss Erynn, who made so much fun of me for suggesting to go watch it on that rainy cold day in the basement of Miguels.... so yes, it is a rock musical set to Beatle's songs, but it was good and the actors did a good job of singing, for once, in a movie... I know it sounds (forgive me former students) retarded - but it isn't. Andrew, if you read this and your sister doesn't, make sure you tell her she totally missed out on such a stellar flick....
