No Country For Old Men. - I second that. Raw. The Bad Guy is very bad.

I just read a Cormac Mcarthy piece and then went to see the movie No Country for Old Men. The opening scene violence is straight up like Mcarthy- the later scenes tend to drag a little bit. Mcarthy writes with a laconic Texas rhythm and the film was pretty true to that. Check out the book Blood Meridian.
The cinematography was compelling, and the performances were creepy good, especially the villian who has a fetish for clean socks while he's murdering every body.
I watched 28 weeks later on Christmas eve...that's an effin good movie, almost as good as the original. maybe better.

I am legend was so-so, and not all that scary. Reminded me of a less good version of 28 weeks after (which I also liked, even without seeing 28 days after).
National Treasure 2 was good, but not as good as the first one to me. Worth seeing though.
And of course, had to watch a christmas story Tuesday. No matter how many times I have seen it, it is still just as funny.

I just saw Hotel Rwanda. Very good, very timely, very true, and very hard to watch.
What would I do in a similar situation? That is the question I asked myself.

I thought No Country was mediocre but I read the book first so that's probably my fault.
