If someone is already inclined to file suit, its going to happen. Everyone is ready to file a lawsuit. That's why there are so many commercials and ads for personal injury lawyers.
I'm gonna sue you! You're not "safe"!

And another thing, Rick. Let's not make this an us against them thing.
I second that motion.. I've never, ever expected, nor particularly desired the access oriented coalitions to get involved in risk management training or teaching climbing. Let the specialities lie where they are best organized already.

I'd suggest of any "member of the community" that climbing gyms, (promoting climbing for profit!), are the organizations that should bear responsibility for informing new climbers how different and dangerous outdoor rockclimbing is when compared to the carpeted cushioned living room experience that one gets at the gym.

Whats the point of a victory whip any way, your just taking a send away if you dont clip the anchors first.

animmericnameanamenirclimber...

you obviously have never taken a victory whipper, and hence do not understand the importance of the term. repeat after me,..."a victory whipper can only be taken after a send".....

you are too beholden to your "rules" abour sending. next you'll posit that we can't grab draws and count it as a send...
